After years of regular use, one side of this leather sofa had gradually become lower than the other. Although the leather remained in good condition, the seating felt uneven and noticeably less comfortable. Inspection revealed that part of the internal wooden frame had weakened over time.
Accessing the damaged section required carefully opening the upholstery without affecting the original leather. The weakened frame components then had to be repaired and reinforced while maintaining the sofa's original shape and structural alignment.
The repaired frame restored proper support across the seating area, eliminating the uneven feel and improving overall stability. Once reassembled, the sofa regained its original comfort while preserving its existing leather upholstery and appearance.
For quite a while I thought the cushions were the problem because one side of the sofa kept sinking lower than the other.
