This project involved repairing a small cigarette burn on the driver’s seat of a light leather interior. Although the damaged area was only a few millimeters wide, it stood out clearly against the surrounding leather and was difficult to ignore during everyday use. The client wanted to improve the appearance of the seat without replacing the original leather panel or reupholstering the entire section.
Because the interior used light-colored leather, even a small burn became highly visible under normal lighting conditions. The damaged spot had affected both the surface texture and finish of the leather, making the repair difficult to hide completely. The challenge was to restore the damaged section locally while matching the surrounding color and texture as naturally as possible.
After the repair, the cigarette burn blended much more naturally into the surrounding leather and no longer immediately stood out when entering the vehicle. The repaired section matched the original seat color closely enough to make the damage far less noticeable inside the interior. The client was able to keep the original leather seat without replacing the entire panel or reupholstering the section.
